As the saying goes, “Practice makes perfect.” And for this drink, I literally practiced making this every morning for almost a week before I got it just right.
Ever since having this drink at a local cafe, I wanted to recreate the beautiful layered drink at home. Starbucks in Asia popularized the Matcha Espresso Fusion, and it has quickly become an item of interest in cafes here. With warm summer days ahead, you can quench your thirst with this delicious iced drink in your own home.
If you’ve been around an Asian mall food court, you will have seen them: pastel-coloured drinks with neon-coloured wide fat straws sticking up and black mini balls on the bottom.
Those mini black balls are the name-sake of the drink called “Bubble Tea.” (more…)
There are so many natural foods that are good for you, but sometimes it’s hard to remember what to eat. And how to eat it. Many years ago, I had a doctor tell me to sprinkle turmeric on my food since it has many good health benefits (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, amongst others). So my husband and I purchased organic turmeric powder and whenever we’d remember, we’d sprinkle some on. (more…)
