How to a make blueberry matcha latte
Make the blueberry sauce and let cool.
Sift matcha powder into a small bowl or jar.
Add hot water and whisk vigorously using a bamboo whisk or milk frother until frothy and fully dissolved.
Assemble:
Add blueberry syrup/sauce to a tall serving glass.
Fill with ice.
Pour the milk over the ice.
Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the top to create a layered effect.
Stir and enjoy.

Variations
Make it hot: warm the milk and omit the ice for a warm variation.
Use store-bought syrup: or blueberry jam thinned with a little water can work in place of fresh blueberry syrup.
Add floral notes: add a splash of lavender syrup for a blueberry-lavender matcha vibe. Or add earl grey to the blueberry syrup for more floral flavor.

Actually this delicious matcha recipe comes at the perfect time. I had just pureed fresh blueberries and ran then through a fine sieve as a family member has to have a little dental work done. This blueberry matcha latte is the perfect energy boost and no chewing required!
