Ingredients you'll need
- jasmine green tea: tea bag or loose-leaf
- hot water: for brewing the tea and matcha
- OR use a cold brew jasmine tea
- matcha powder: use a high-quality matcha for the best flavor and color
- jasmine syrup: or other sweetener (eg. honey, simple syrup), optional
- milk: or non-dairy alternative
- ice cubes
How to make jasmine matcha latte
Steep the jasmine tea bag in ½ cup hot water (about 85°C / 185°F) for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and let the tea cool to room temperature. [Or use a cold brew jasmine tea].
Sift the matcha into a small bowl.
Add ¼ cup hot water (80°C / 175°F) and whisk using a bamboo chasen or electric frother until smooth and frothy.
Fill a tall glass with ice.
Pour in jasmine syrup, cooled jasmine tea, followed by the milk.
Slowly pour the whisked matcha on top for a layered effect.
Enjoy as is, or stir to combine before sipping.


Variations
Swap in oat milk or soy milk for a creamier version.
Blend all components with ice for a frosty blended tea latte.
Change up the matcha for roasted hojicha tea for a different flavor.
Expert tips
Use filtered or distilled water for the cleanest tea flavor.

- ½ C milk of your choice
