This recipe for Jasmine Matcha Latte features a floral, gently grassy iced latte made with fragrant jasmine tea and earthy matcha, lightly sweetened with an aromatic jasmine syrup. It's smooth, refreshing, and surprisingly easy to make at home.
Steep the jasmine tea bag in ½ cup hot water (about 85°C / 185°F) for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and let the tea cool to room temperature. [Or use a cold brew jasmine tea].
Sift the matcha into a small bowl.
Add ¼ cup hot water (80°C / 175°F) and whisk using a bamboo chasen or electric frother until smooth and frothy.
Fill a tall glass with ice.
Pour in jasmine syrup, cooled jasmine tea, followed by the milk.
Slowly pour the whisked matcha on top for a layered effect.
