What is Calpico?
Calpico [also known as Calpis in Japan] is a popular Japanese non-carbonated soft drink made from fermented milk, with a flavor that’s slightly tangy, sweet, and creamy, similar to yogurt.
It’s often served diluted with water or milk and is available in many fruit flavors.
There are many versions of Calpico, including ready-to-drink, concentrates (where you need to dilute with water), or fizzy/carbonated soda variations.
This version takes Calpico's sweet and tart flavor and pairs it with the earthy bitterness of matcha with a splash of carbonation for bubbly refreshment!
What's the difference between Calpico and Yakult?
Yakult is a probiotic drink with live cultures that is sweet, tangy, and creamier than Calpico.
Calpico does not contain any live probiotic cultures, and is more watered down compared to yakult.
What is matcha?
Matcha is a Japanese finely ground green tea.
