Side Dishes
There's not much of a distinction between Side dishes and Main dishes in Asian cuisine, where a variety of dishes are often served together. (This can also include Appetizers).
Items categorized as an Asian side dish (or an appetizer) may be satisfying enough to serve as a light meal when paired with rice or noodles. However, it is typical to have one main (usually meat) dish accompanied by two to three side dishes (such as tofu or vegetables) for a complete and satisfying meal.
Our family's favorite Asian side dishes include Steamed Pork Patty, Blanched Yu Choy, Korean Mayak Eggs, and Crispy Baked Tofu.
