Chicken parmesan (also known as chicken parm) is an Italian dish of flattened, crispy breaded chicken breast topped with tomato sauce, melted mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
There are variations using eggplant parmesan and veal parmesan.

- mozzarella cheese: you can use fresh mozzarella or bocconcini, or shredded skim milk mozzarella
- parmesan: grated
- pasta: you can serve the chicken parm with your choice of cooked pasta: spaghetti, linguine, or fettucine
- fresh parsley: or fresh basil; chopped
How to make easy chicken parmesan
Place breaded chicken tenders onto the baking sheet and bake according to the package directions.
Flip the chicken tenders about halfway through the baking time.
In the meantime, add marinara or pasta sauce to a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-low.
Remove chicken tenders from oven and spoon about 1 tablespoon of warm marinara sauce on top of each chicken tender.
Add grated parmesan and mozzarella cheese over each chicken tender and continue baking for another 12-13 minutes.
Remove the chicken tenders from the oven.
To serve, place cooked pasta on a plate and top with pasta sauce and chicken parm.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
Serve immediately.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
You can freeze chicken parmesan in a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month.
How to reheat
To reheat, bake the chicken parm in a 350F oven or toaster oven for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through.
You can microwave the chicken parmesan, but note that the breading will be soggy and lose its crispness.
