1 teaspoon matcha sifted 2 tablespoon hot water about 175°F / 80°C 1 teaspoon granulated sugar to your taste ice cubes optional ½ C soda water or carbonated water 1 scoop vanilla ice cream or matcha ice cream
Prepare the matcha: In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder.
Add hot water and whisk until frothy and smooth.
Stir in sugar to taste. Let cool slightly.
Assemble: Add a few ice cubes to a tall glass (if using).
Gently pour the cooled matcha mixture into the glass.
Pour in the soda water.
Add a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
Serve immediately with a long spoon and straw.
