Ingredients

  • 4 large fresh strawberries
  • 50 g white chocolate
  • 5 g coconut oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoon matcha

Instructions

For key visual process photos, refer to the body of the blog post.

  • First, wash and pat dry the strawberries. Make sure they are completely dry.
  • Add the white chocolate to a small bowl and heat over a double-boiler or in a microwave, in 30-second increments, until completely melted.
  • Once the white chocolate is melted, stir in the coconut oil and matcha powder until homogenous.
  • Take a fresh strawberry by the stem/leafy end and dip the strawberry into the matcha chocolate, coating it entirely.
  • Let any excess chocolate drip off.
  • Place the matcha coated strawberry onto a small tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Repeat with the remaining strawberries.
  • Chill the matcha strawberries in the fridge for 5-10 minutes for the matcha chocolate shell to set.
  • For additional pizzazz, you can add an additional drizzle of white chocolate or dark chocolate.
