Ingredients

  • 800 g cod fillet or white fish
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper or white pepper
  • 1 ½ tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1-2 teaspoon chili oil optional
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450°F/232°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Pat the cod fillet dry and season lightly with black pepper (or white pepper).
  • In a bowl, mix hoisin sauce, chili oil (if using) and sesame oil.
  • Spread the mixture over the top of the fish.
  • Bake the cod at 450°F/232°C in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it just starts to flake.
  • Finish with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.
