800 g cod fillet or white fish ½ teaspoon black pepper or white pepper 1 ½ tablespoon hoisin sauce 1-2 teaspoon chili oil optional 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Preheat oven to 450°F/232°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the cod fillet dry and season lightly with black pepper (or white pepper).
In a bowl, mix hoisin sauce, chili oil (if using) and sesame oil.
Spread the mixture over the top of the fish.
Bake the cod at 450°F/232°C in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it just starts to flake.
Finish with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.
