Earl Grey Matcha Latte (Hot or Iced)
This Earl Grey Matcha Latte brings together two delicious teas -- the rich, grassy umami of matcha and the delicate, citrusy aroma of Earl Grey. The result is a beautiful two-toned drink that’s soothing, energizing, and anything but ordinary.

1 Earl Grey tea bag or 1 teaspoon loose-leaf ¼ C hot water (about 190°F / 88°C) 1 teaspoon matcha sifted 2 tablespoon hot water ice if serving iced 1 teaspoon Earl Grey syrup or other sweetener, to your taste ½ C milk of your choice or non-dairy alternative
Prepare the matcha: Sift matcha into a small bowl.
Add 2 tablespoon hot water and whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until frothy and smooth, or use an electric frother.
For iced latte: Add ice to a tall glass. Pour in the cooled Earl Grey tea.
Add in Earl Grey syrup, or sweetener (if using).
Gently pour in the milk to create a gradient.
Top with the matcha layer.
For hot latte: Heat the milk until warm and frothy.
Pour brewed Earl Grey into a mug. Add Earl Grey syrup (or sweetener).
Stir in warm milk, then top with whisked matcha.
