This tasty fusion recipe for Butter Chicken Pizza features tender pieces of butter chicken on homemade naan with creamy butter chicken sauce, red onions and chopped cilantro.
½Cbutter chicken saucedivided + extra for the pizza; store bought or homemade
For the pizzas:
2naaneach shaped into 7-8" rounds; or you can use store-bought
¼red onionsliced
1Cshredded mozzarella
1tablespoonchopped cilantro
Instructions
Make the butter chicken:
In a bowl, marinate the chicken breast with Greek yogurt and ¼ C butter chicken sauce.
Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Broil the chicken (about 6-7" away from the top element) for about 8-10 minutes per side, flipping halfway through, or until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 165°F/74°C.
Remove from heat and cover with a piece of foil. Let it rest for 10 minutes before cutting into smaller pieces.
Heat up the remaining ¼ C butter chicken sauce in a small saucepan until warmed through and add the chicken pieces to it.
Assemble the pizza:
Spread a thin layer of butter chicken sauce over the surface of the naan.
Portion out the cooked butter chicken pieces.
Sprinkle on cheese and red onion.
Place onto a baking sheet and bake at 450°F/232°C for 5-8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and naan is slightly crisp.
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped cilantro.
