Butter Chicken Pizza

This tasty fusion recipe for Butter Chicken Pizza features tender pieces of butter chicken on homemade naan with creamy butter chicken sauce, red onions and chopped cilantro.

Ingredients

Butter chicken:

  • 1 large chicken breast
  • 2 teaspoon Greek yogurt
  • ½ C butter chicken sauce divided + extra for the pizza; store bought or homemade

For the pizzas:

  • 2 naan each shaped into 7-8" rounds; or you can use store-bought
  • ¼ red onion sliced
  • 1 C shredded mozzarella
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

Instructions

Make the butter chicken:

  • In a bowl, marinate the chicken breast with Greek yogurt and ¼ C butter chicken sauce.
  • Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Broil the chicken (about 6-7" away from the top element) for about 8-10 minutes per side, flipping halfway through, or until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 165°F/74°C.
  • Remove from heat and cover with a piece of foil. Let it rest for 10 minutes before cutting into smaller pieces.
  • Heat up the remaining ¼ C butter chicken sauce in a small saucepan until warmed through and add the chicken pieces to it.

Assemble the pizza:

  • Spread a thin layer of butter chicken sauce over the surface of the naan.
  • Portion out the cooked butter chicken pieces.
  • Sprinkle on cheese and red onion.
  • Place onto a baking sheet and bake at 450°F/232°C for 5-8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and naan is slightly crisp.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped cilantro.
  • Repeat with the remainder.
  • Serve immediately.
