Ingredients

strawberry sauce
or 2 tablespoon strawberry jam
OR:
½
C
fresh strawberries
finely diced into small pieces
1-2
tablespoon
granulated sugar
or to your taste; also dependent on how sweet the strawberries are
ice
½
C
milk of your choice
or non-dairy alternative
¼
C
hot water
about 175°F/80°C

teaspoon
matcha
sifted
Instructions
Using strawberry sauce/jam:
Add the strawberry sauce or jam to a serving glass.
OR:
Using fresh strawberries:
Add finely diced fresh strawberry to a serving glass.
Sprinkle sugar over the strawberry and lightly muddle, letting it macerate for about 5 minutes.
Assemble:
Next, add some ice to the glass.
Pour the milk over the ice (pour it over a spoon to ensure a clean layer).
In a small jar, add the matcha powder and pour in the hot water.
Use a whisk or electric frother until the matcha is incorporated and becomes frothy.
Carefully pour the matcha over top of the milk (again, use a spoon to ensure clean layers).
Stick in a straw, give it a stir and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Adjust the amount of matcha to your preference.
