raspberry syrup or sauce

milk of your choice

matcha
sifted

hot water
about 80°C/175°F
Instructions
Add raspberry syrup to the bottom of a tall glass.
Fill with ice cubes.
Pour the cold milk over the raspberry syrup.
In a small bowl, sift the matcha.
Add ¼ C of hot water (about 80°C/175°F) and whisk vigorously using a bamboo whisk (chasen) or a an electric frother until smooth and frothy.
Pour the whisked matcha over the milk layer to create a beautiful layered effect.
Enjoy immediately, giving it a gentle swirl before sipping.
Notes
If you prefer more sweetness, add in a little simple syrup.
