Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dried chrysanthemum flowers
  • 1 tablespoon dried goji berries
  • 2-3 dried Chinese red jujube dates pitted
  • 2-3 dried longan optional, for sweetness
  • a few dried rose petals optional
  • 2 small pieces freeze-dried dragonfruit optional, for pink color
  • 3 C hot boiled water
  • yellow rock sugar or honey optional, to your taste

Instructions

  • Place all the dried ingredients into a sieve and rinse under cold running water to remove any dust. Drain well.
  • Add the rinsed ingredients into a teapot infuser or heatproof container.
  • Pour hot boiled water over the ingredients.
  • Steep for about 5-10 minutes or until the tea turns a light pink hue and the ingredients plump up a little.
  • Pour the tea into cups and enjoy as is, or sweeten with a little honey or yellow rock sugar, to your taste.
  • Enjoy warm, or chilled.
