Disclosure: I was sent KitchenAid‘s Professional Series Blender with Thermal Control Jar for review purposes. As always, all images and opinions expressed are solely mine.
I don’t know about you, but I do love the refreshing start of a new year — it’s time to set new goals, refocus, and look forward to new adventures and growth.
And if you’re anything like me, you’ll try really hard at the beginning of the year to eat healthier. Fact is, it can be easy to stay on track, as long as you’ve got a plan. For myself, I find the easiest way to get in a good breakfast is by having a green smoothie. Load it up with fresh veggies, fibrous celery, a good squeeze of lime juice, and you’ll cover all your bases.
I’ve partnered up with KitchenAid Canada to bring you some easy healthy recipes using their KitchenAid® Professional Series Blender with Thermal Control Jar. I was amazed at how easily everything blended together for this smoothie. Especially the celery fibers! Honestly, I had forgotten how smooth and creamy a green juice smoothie drink should be. (My old blender was breaking down, and I had grown accustomed to the chunky bits in my morning smoothie! Bleh!)
In an attempt to get more veggies and fruit in my kids’ diet, I’ve been blending up this delicious and simple smoothie, full of greens — and my kids are totally digging it!
On one occasion, I tried making this smoothie with the old blender, and my kids could totally tell — because my little one said, “Mommy, I don’t like. It not smooth.” Unfortunately, it sat there untouched for the rest of the morning. Uh oh!
LARGE BUT POWERFUL
This KitchenAid Professional Series Blender is very powerful, with a 3.5 peak HP motor, which makes it easy to blend up healthy whole fruits, nuts, and seeds without being bogged down. It is a little large and heavy for the counter, but it’s powerful performance and quality makes up for it.
I really love how quickly it breaks everything down — the motor is so quick and powerful! What used to take me more than 5 minutes to make, with pauses to rejig, now only takes me about 1 minute.
Just cut up some of the larger fruit and veggies, dump into the blender, place the lid on, blitz and voila — a quick and delicious, healthy green juice smoothie.
As with any smoothie or juice, feel free to change up the ingredients — swap out the greens and add in mixed berries for a tasty variation. Try using frozen fruit and add some almond milk instead of coconut water. The possibilities of eating healthier are endless! To the New Year, and staying healthy!
Many thanks to KitchenAid Canada for sending me the Professional Series Blender with Thermal Control Jar and partnering with me on this post!
